ausEE Inc. is the national support and patient advocacy organisation representing Australians living with an eosinophil-associated disease (EAD).
We extend our support and advocacy to people in New Zealand and their whānau.
We are a registered Australia wide charity whose mission is to improve the lives of those affected by eosinophilic diseases by providing support, evidence-based information, resources, and advocacy, and by campaigning to raise awareness and funds for research in Australia. Additionally, we support the tube feeding community, as eosinophilic gastrointestinal diseases (EGIDs) are among the many conditions that may require a feeding tube to meet nutritional needs. ausEE’s Feeding Tube Aware campaign raises awareness, shares information and resources, and provides support and connections to unite the community.
Donations to ausEE Inc. over $2 are tax deductible. All donations received will help us to achieve our mission. Please Donate here. Eosinophils (pronounced ee-oh-sin-oh-fills) are a type of white blood cell that play a role in certain medical conditions and immune responses. When someone has too many eosinophils in their blood, tissues, organs, or digestive system, without another known cause, they may have an eosinophil-associated disease (EAD). In these conditions, eosinophils can build up and cause inflammation and tissue or organ damage. There are different types of EADs, and diagnosis usually depends on where in the body the eosinophils are found and what symptoms a person has. Learn more...
